
Weekends are meant to give yourself and your family enough time and to relax after a hectic week so that you are full of vigor to take on the stress of the week ahead. The best way to round off the weekend is to indulge in aromatherapy at home.
All you have to do is soak in a tub of warm water with essential oils added to it. These oils have a gentle way of helping to restore the body’s natural resilience to viruses, infections and fatigue. The oils not only uplift and refresh the mood by their wonderful aroma but also stimulate the skin and relax the muscles.
You’ll need: Two drops of Geranium oil, two drops of Neroli oil, and five drops of lavender oil. Add these oils to Ľ cup of Epsom salts and our in the bath while the water runs, soak for about fifteen to twenty minutes and you are ready to take on the world the next day.
If you are looking for a sensuous bath you could try rose, jasmine or ylang ylang; for a soothing bath-you could choose lavender, geranium or chamomile; patchouli, sandalwood and neroli are sure to put you sleep in the tub.
It’s not necessary that you add only the above oils; you can pick your favorite aroma from hundreds of essential oils that are available and remember not to go overboard by adding more than the required amount- the few drops of oils that you add is effective enough. However it’s advised that you check with your therapist if you are pregnant or having any medical conditions just to make sure that you won’t be affected adversely.
