FDA has approved the first generic version of MetroGel-Vaginal (metronidazole vaginal gel) for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis-a condition, which is caused by an overgrowth of vaginal bacteria. Bacterial vaginosis is often followed by symptoms that may include pain, itching, discharge and odor etc. According to experts vaginal infection is one of the most common problems of the women who are of childbearing age.

I think with the advent of this new drug, most of the young women will take a sigh of relief.
