Often children get infected easily from various diseases, whooping cough is also one of the most common infected disease found in children.

Whooping cough is an infectious disease of the respiratory mucous membrane caused by a bacterium called pertussis, giving a whoop sound during breathing.

• Preliminary symptoms in your child may include a runny nose, cough, sneezing, along with mild fever.

• In a weeks time or more the cough tends to dry leading to aggressive spells of cough.

• The face of your child may turn red or purple due to coughing spells that can last a minute or more.

It can be cured by vaccination but disease tends to be more harmful among small infants who are not to be immunized due to low tendency of their body to absorb it.
